• Tumors
• Infections
• Optic neuritis, combined with MRI of the brain
• Thyrotoxicosis (Graves’ disease)
• Diplopia, examination of eye muscles
• Loss of vision, combined with MRI of the brain
• NB: must NOT be used with suspected foreign bodies
• Failing field of vision, combined with MRI of the brain
